Hello darlings, I am an American Paint Quarter horse and I was born in 2018. Despite my age, I am super gentle and I absolutely love wild hacks. I can lead the group, I can stay in the middle or I can simply follow my friends. I can ride with any level of riders and I love working with students in the training paddock.
I am the new blondie in the team. I was born in France in 2019, so I am young and beautiful and speak French! I kind of like to hang out on my own and despite my young age, I can work with riders of all levels. My favourite is long, scenic wild hacks with humans. I just like to take it easy and show my companions the gorgeous nature surrounding us. Love carrots too.
I am a stunning Murgese from Puglia with a long line of pedigree ancestors. Oh yes, these are not pistols, these are my legs! I might look quite intimidating by towering above all the other team members but I am probably the most docile of them all. I was born in 2019 and I am an ex-vaulting star from Piacenza.
I was born in 2019 near Siena. I am a young, cosmopolitan Arab mare, quite a super model actually. I tolerate the other horses here because of my bond with Gio. Gio calls me his butterfly. I am fast, agile and super soft to handle. Currently, I can only entertain experienced riders as I am still slowly learning to adjust having a person riding with me.
I was born at Gio Ranch in May 2021. My mum Lady Ambra delivered me a few days earlier than expected in the middle of the herd so I'm kind of the pride and joy of the whole herd. A beautiful Dutch girl called Robin was on vacation here. She loves potato chips and so she gave me my name. Of course, Patrick loves Tequila so there you go.
Hi, I was born in 2009 and I am a Criollo. I am also the older brother of Tango. I am an experienced horse and I am passionate about wild hacks, although I also work with small kids in the training paddock. I love riding with kids and also beginners.
I am an Appaloosa with a super soft gait. I was born in 2009 and I recently joined the team from the Polo Club in Punta Ala. I like to lead so I prefer to be up from of the herd and kind of compete with California.
Dear all, I am the latest member of this gorgeous team. I was born in 2020 in Maremma and I am a beautiful Haflinger. I wish I had Ambra’s curls but I have much longer legs so I guess I am sexier and I do not have that demanding Barbie attitude of hers.
I am an American Paint horse as my 2019 birth certificate confirms my pedigree and genealogy. I am a super chill guy and hit it off directly with Gio. I do have all the western disciplines in my genes so for now, I only train with Gio or the other trainers at the ranch. But if you are an accomplished western rider, you can check with Gio and see if we can play together. Oh my name is from Nordic mythology and means “wind”
Hey! I am an Irish Wolfhound and I was born in 2020 in Italy. Yes, I am quite large but they call me a gentle giant. Oh, I am also kind of scared of everything, especially cats. I love playing with kids and also with Stella (she thinks she is my mother). I try to join for short hacks but prefer to stay at the ranch and sleep most of the time.
Ciao, I am a mixed race dog and I think I was born in 2018. Then I found these people and decided to live with them because they need my protection. I am super friendly with everyone and I love Brindle (he thinks I am his mother though). I am always here and I also enjoy joining all the hacks with the horses.
Hi everyone, I am a Silken Wind Sprite (also known as long haired whippet). I was born in 2015 in the Netherlands. They call me Jet because I am super fast, but my greatest passion is to hang out with humans, and going on wild hacks with the horses. Please do not feed me anything cause my stomach is super sensitive.
I am a miniature horse - not a pony. I was born in 2021 and I am an appaloosa just like Rio but much more beautiful as you can all see. What can I say? Less is More. I bring a lot of joy and happiness to GioRanch so please come, say Hi and please take me for a nice walk, which I would really love.

I was born in Italy in 2011 and I belong to the Criollo race from South America. I am also the pack leader of this team. I love long wild hacks in deep nature, and I have a very comfortable non bouncy gallop. I am excellent at swimming. I love working with all experience levels, but probably thrive with medium to experienced riders.
Buongiorno Tutti! I was born on March 1, 2021, and I am the first-born foal of Gio Ranch. I am a bundle of joy, and I love spinning around. I am hoping to become the main guide horse at Gio Ranch. I love human cuddles, and I love it if you scratch my back. Life is so beautiful at Gio Ranch.

House of Gio is owned by Gio and Patrick
An international couple with different backgrounds who met and fell in love in Amsterdam over 15 years ago. From the very beginning, we have encouraged each other to listen to our hearts and to pursue ideas that felt meaningful, even when they seemed unexpected.
We are both relentless romantics. Our journey started with Archipelago — an antique shop on Prinsengracht in Amsterdam, where we also lived upstairs and built our first shared dream. From there, we allowed ourselves to follow bolder visions.
That path led us from Amsterdam to Italy — first chasing the dream of becoming "cowboys" in Tuscany, surrounded by rolling hills, olive trees, and horses in open fields. Along the way, we saw an old garage in central Roma, bought it on the spot, and transformed it into a luxury loft — proving once again that passion and instinct often guide us better than plans.
Together, these spaces form House of Gio — a family of experiences shaped by heritage, grounded in nature, and inspired by connection. Our simple wish is to create places where people feel welcome, alive, and truly present.
We continue to encourage each other to follow our hearts — sometimes raising a few eyebrows along the way — and we know our journey is far from finished. We don't know what the future holds.
But we are moving forward — together.
Stay tuned.
